About Phaungdawoo Pagoda Festival

It is one of most famous festival and longest occasion in Myanmar. The small four of five Buddha Images are rowed around villages of Inle Lake in a colorful barge by 18days. The festival celebrates by praying Buddha images, traditional dance shows, fun-fairs and leg-style rolling boat races.

Day 01- September 27, 2014

Yangon-Bagan (B/L/D)

-          Breakfast at hotel
-          leave Yangon to Bagan by domestic flight
-          NyaungOo Market- colorful market
-          Shwezigon Pagoda- built by king Anawrahtain the early 11th century
-          Kyansittha U Min- cave like temple with fresco painting
-          Wetkyi-In Gubyaukkyi- a temple with beautiful wall paintings
-          Lunch at local restaurant.
-          Gawdawplin Temple - one of the largest and most imposing Bagan temples
-          Ananda Temple- with four huge standing Buddha images and numerous seated figures in niches around the galleried interior
-          Dhamma Yan Gyi- the largest of the temple in Bagan
-          Shwesandaw Pagoda or Bupaya- sunset watch over the Ayeyarwaddy River.
-          Dinner with Puppet Show

Day 03- September 29, 2014
Bagan-Heho-Inle Lake-Paungdawoo Pagoda Festival (B/L/D)

-          Breakfast at hotel
-          Leave Bagan to Heho by domestic flight
-          Drive to NyaungShwe
-          An excursion by boat on Inle Lake- famous for their leg rolling style
-          Enjoy Paungdawoo Pagoda Festival
-          PhaungdawOo Pagoda-  located in the middle of the lake
-          Inpawkhone Village - famous for silk weaving workshop, silver workshop
-          Ngaphechaung Monasterylocated in west of Inle Lake

Day 04- September 30, 2014
Paungdawoo Pagoda Festival-Inle Boat Race (B/L/D)

-          Breakfast at hotel
-          Enjoy PaungdawOo Pagoda Festival
-          Traditional Boat Race at about 10:00am in NyaungShwe. The Race is the most famous and largest Race in Inle Lake.
-          Lunch at restaurant
-          NyaungShwe Market where one can see local trading in their own styles and can buy many local product
-          Dinner & Overnight at hotel in Inle Lake.

Day 05- October 01, 2014
Inle-Indein Village-Inle (B/L/D)

-          Breakfast at hotel
-          excursion boat trip to Indein Village-- famous for hundreds of ShweIndein Pagodas, is well-known as “The Dead Ankowatt”
-          Lunch & Dinner
-          Overnight at hotel in Inle Lake.

Day 06- October 02, 2014
Inle-Heho-Inle (B/L/D)

-          Breakfast at hotel
-          Leave Heho to Yangon by domestic flight.
-          The Kaba Aye Pagoda (world peace pagoda) -built for memorial the 1945-46 sixth Buddhist Synod
-          National museum (closed on Mondays) - main museum of Myanmar culture and civilization of our people.
-          China Town where can see the many vendors on theplatform & can buy the variety of Myanmar
-          Lunch &Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Day 07- October 03, 2014
Yangon Departure (B)
