About Kyaukse Elephant Dancing Festival

The festival holds only one day. It is praying to ShweThaHlaung Tooth Relic Pagoda by Elephant dance. The elephants are made of Bamboo and paper. The men dancing inside Elephant Figure is so interesting.

Mandalay –Sagaing - Ava – Mandalay (B/L/D)

-          Drive to Sagaing Hill, lies other side of Ayeyarwaddy River is well-known for retreat of 700 monasteries
-          Kaungmudaw Pagoda- built in AD 1636 by king Thalon to commemorate Ava’s Establishment
-          Soon U Ponnya Shin Pagoda- top of Sagaing Hill, built in AD 1312.
-          Uminthonze Cave Temple- famous for 30 doors of entry.
-          Visit to Ava (Inwa), built in AD 1364 by King Thatominphya.
-          MahaAungmyeBonzan Monastery (a) Me Nu OkeKyaung- brick and stucco monastery built by Queen Me Nu
-          BagayaKyaung (a) BameKyaung- supported by 267 teak posts in 1834. The largest teak post is 19m in height and 3m in circumference.

-          Mingun Bell, the world’s largest sounding bell,
-          Myatheintan Pagoda which represent the Universe.
-          Mingun village; take an oxcart or horse cart to see the ways of local life
-          Sail back to Mandalay
-          Lunch & Dinner at restaurant. Stay overnight at hotel in Mandalay.
